House of Nefer-Sah

House of the Beautiful Star They are one of the noted noble houses of the Estiri. Their symbol is the King's Star, a bright point in a constellation that occasionally shines brighter at times of great portence. Each flourish by the five points is a genealogical tree that is worn by the different family members. The House is based on five known descendants who where gifted by gods with the ability to shimmer their form like a mirage. It was with this gift that they were told to protect the lands of Khemit. It's more fuzzy with when this legend was applied. The common interpretation was that Solanus gifted the Estiri to protect the Khemitians from the Hyborians. Other interpretations is that Iset gifted the few Estiri to protect the Khemitian lands when the old gods left.

Legend has it, when the Hyborians were to invade the Nubian Outlook, the Sun God protected his/her people in a mirage and that the soldiers would only waste arrows at phantoms of the day.

Noble/Priest Caste

Many of the house are of the NoblePriest Caste, presumably from the wealth accumulated from fighting the hyborians. They are given an education, learning to read and write Khemitian. Some of the house become Katapesh, following in their ancestor's footsteps in defending Khemit. If the gift the strong, they might even become part of the warrior caste, becoming a Benque.

Supernatural Ability

Under the hot desert sun, the air shimmers and mirages can be seen. Legend has it, when the Hyborians were to invade the Nubian Outlook, the Sun God protected his/her people in a mirage and that the soldiers would only waste arrows at phantoms of the sun. This ability has endured in a few families. They believe that they are desendants of Iset's chosen, or Solanus Chosen (depending on the family). The Estiri chosen can harness the heat and light around them and make it dance, distorting their actual location. It's a defensive form of Magic that varies in expertise with each Estiri.
