Hezroted Putrification

Transmission & Vectors

It must be kept in a poreless, airtight container, otherwise its mostly liquid form will begin to evaporate (and cause great harm to anyone around it), but it can be added to liquids which slows the evaporation process and allows for a more discrete murder. While it usually smells so awful it will make your nose bleed and your eyes water, when treated with just a drop of blood from a Sorrowsworn, people become utterly oblivious to the scent, even though it is still there. This addition also makes people feel an intense need for comfort, leading many to reach for a warm cuppa to ease their troubled thoughts. This makes it a perfect combination for poisoning through a drink when the desired victim is more or less solitary. The poison can be inhaled, but it is more difficult to plan and make sure the victim has gotten enough of it for the effects to really work.

Symptoms

When enough of the poison is ingested, the victim falls into a coma-like state. However, they are not actually comatose, but rathered paralyzed, with an artificially lowered heart rate. They are then plagued by images of the Hezrou who the poison was derived from, and are simultaneously filled with an aching sense of loss and panic. This Hezrou torments them endlessly. The victim will go through cycles as their body tries to rid itself from the poison where they wake up and can communicate for short periods of time, but they feel compelled to rave to anyone they can about the monster they see, and as most people are unaware of this poison, they are thought to be insane. Then the poison pulls them back under and the torment continues. It can last for years and on rare occasions will kill the victim, but it more often than not leads to death by malnutrition or dehydration if the victim is not properly cared for while it cannot care for itself.

Treatment

The only cure for this poison is a tear from an Astral Deva (Angel)>

Hosts & Carriers

Hezrou produce a version of this poison with their strench, but it is only once it is distilled into a semi-liquid form that its true potency is realized.
