Elf

This... Well... As a huge fantasy fan, in particular, Tolkien... It's still hard to accept them as Elves. I know that the tall, pretty, athletic depiction of Elves is a more modern one and are not like the original legends but... It still kinda hurts my soul. I mean, don't get me wrong or anything. Elves are pretty great, fantastic herbalists and are pretty cute in that Keebler sort of way... I-I don't sound racist, do I? I...Wait, This isn't on the record or anything is it? Basic Information

Anatomy

Elves are a sapient humanoid lifeform of short stature. They have pale skin but is slightly tougher than that of Human. This may in part be due to having an extra two layers of skin compared to a Human.

Their arms and legs are slightly elongated when compared to the rest of their body, allowing them to be quite quick on their feet. Their fingers are also very thin and dexterous, plus they have excellent eye-hand coordination. This helps in allowing them to become Master Craftsman.
One feature that has seemed to be true across all depictions of Elves are their elongated and pointed ears. The shape, angle, and point of the ear varies wildly from Elf to Elf but seem to be hereditary as certain ear shapes act as identification for certain family lines. It is said that the lengthier the ear, the closer to the bloodline that was once considered royalty amongst the Elf Race.

Their nose also elongates with age. With noses comparable in scale to Humans at younger ages and can grow to be up to four times as long by the time they become elderly.

Biological Traits

Elves are short when compared to humans, with an adult Elf is about as tall as a 10-year-old child.

Genetics and Reproduction

Elves reproduce sexually. Length of pregnancy last around 7 to 8 months and are live births.

It is currently unknown whether Elves can produce viable offspring with other Sapient Humanoid races as no children have yet to produced between differing races. Genetic testing has shown that Elves seem to be a distant cousin to Humans and should theoretically be possible.

Growth Rate & Stages

The life cycle of Elves are similar to Human life cycles with an average life expectancy of 60 to 70 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Elves are similar to Humans in that they can adapt to a wide arrange of environments. They do however prefer to be in wooded areas.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Elves are Omnivores and have a diet of both vegetable and meat. They are quite adept at setting traps so they normally eat small game such as Rabbit and Pheasants.
