For the more observant he has a tatoo of tri-arrow on his forearm, but he keeps it covered under his sleeves.

When traveling to the North bastion. The party meets a stranger who chats them up. His name is Jack and he hogs their attention claiming he's a travelling juggler, which he demonstrates by jugling three daggers in the air at the same time. While keeping the party's attention they are being surrounded by a band of looters. Here Jack drops the act and with a sly smile announces the party they are ambushed and to set all the valueables on the ground and return to the city or be shot by crossbows. When the party starts to defeat the band they retreat southwards into the hills. When pursued they lead the party into their hideout. Just rags and a tri-arrow painted on the wall. When searched a small chest can be found. The chest is locked, 30*20*20 cm in size.

The party returns to travel west along the river when crossing the hills at dusk they hear a smacking sounds behind the edge of one of the hills. When investigated the loud chewing comes from a huge bony creature devouring a wounded looter from previous encounter. The creature has no eyes with white skin. Tired the party decides not to interfere. They set camp and prepare for the night. They keep track of the scavenger, but none can sleep hearing the disgusting sounds of another human being eaten.

Further along the river the road goes right on the bank. As the surrounding terrain rises to create a rocky cliff overreaching the path just by the old elven bridge, the party gets ambushd by the routed looters from above the cliff, seeing the disadvantage from terrain they hie under the cliffs edge and push forward, further upstream they take refuge in small crevise and wait for the looters to leave. The road is quiet but in the evening the party is forced to seek shelter as the night falls. They find it in a shallow cave at the bank of the river. They set camp but deep in the night are interupted by unknown malevolent voice. The voice greets the party briefly and then laughes a blood-curdling laugh as wall of fire cuts them from the entrance. In the flickering flame three pale creatures descends from the ceiling. Surrounded and haunted by the voice the only way is through the fire. So the party jumps and then realises the wall of fire was just an illusion. They run the rest of the night terrified along the river at dawn they can see the wooden bridge high above the river, which is cut deep into the rock and quite narrow at this point. The guards meet them at the guard tower. They halt them and inspect them. One is distraught when he finds out the party contains elves and spits on the ground to show contempt, but they let them cross. When on the other side the characters can hear one of the officers complaining about late check on the pillar charges.

The captain of the bastion later informs you Tex and his party never arrived. When the party searches for locksmith he lets them pay large sum of money o unlock the little chest. When payed he proceeds to shake it at his ear and smash it on the ground. Inside they find the earing Tex told them about and a small flask with green paste inside it wrapped in green cloth.
