Transport - Kaldari Long Cog

A small vessel designed for dragging goods across the Altwaus Sea, the Cog is a small dual-masted ship used for multiple purposes by smugglers, smaller merchants, and even lesser-equipped navies.
The Kaldari design in particular a focuses on transporting goods and merchandise for extended periods and often across open water - a dangerous pretense in any season of Altwaus. Still, though, those that are willing to brave the long treks between eastern and western altwaus can make small fortunes on single runs.
Cogs are two-masted ships equipped with square-rigged Silverline Sails connected through Operating Enchantments to power the ships powerful engines.
Not particularly fast or agile, the ship's popularity is its rugged "workhorse" reputation and unusual ability to take significant damage from storms and sunder and remain seaworthy. There are several of the Kaldari Cogs in service still that have been seaborn for over a century, however skeptic and critics alike have proposed this a mere propaganda to support the Kaldari naval yard industries.
The ships have a strange reputation, as their ruggedness and relative affordability lends them to be the favorite of pirates and smugglers - leading many import inspectors to give the ships a level of attention that would be unexpected for other ships of their tonnage.

Weapons & Armament

While the standard design does contain gunports it an common modification to the design to add at least a couple blackpowder cannons to serve as a deterrent to wildlife and uncultured species alike. 
In reality the cannons are too few and too inaccurate to support the ship in any real sort of defence, and the ships themselves are a common target for piracy and pilalge because of this.
