Subject 7

"Numbers win wars, and despite our greatness, we are limited by our reproductive process. Rali, together we will transcend the Seraph to godhood. Let the worm devour its tail, let us ascend." -Adimus, Chief Science Officer, Knights of the Blighted Blade

Utilizing the remnants of Razael's magic, stolen artifacts from The Ether, and the technological insights gained from Pathos, Tree of Hope, Rali set out to create the perfect parasite aboard Stargazer. In an attempt to bypass the need for incubative hosts, Gene was tasked with learning how to clone the parasitic species. These studies were performed in tandem with Aries' work to develop new subserviant life forms.

Seeing progress with the shared research notes between Aires' and their own work, Rali believed highly specialized metals, similar to those used with AI Constructs, could function as Seraph host bodies. The results were less than desirable. Without bio-organic systems to attach to, the subject each melted into devouring oozes.

The single exception to Rali's failures was Subject 7, who was able to live for short periods of time solely within artificial constructs. While successfully obtaining the amplified battle genetics, Subject 7 was destined to be iced for later study by Adimus. Unfortunately, the lab assistant tasked with doing so became Subject 7's first victim. Latching onto the man, Subject 7 twisted the mortal into a monster (later known as The Mangler).

Unlike other Seraph, Subject 7 is able to survive for long periods of time without a living host. Retreating back into its ether-powered nano-tech, Subject 7 is able to transfer its power from one host to the next. Understanding this necessity, Subject 7 seeks to form symbiotic relationships with its host. With a single ideal: no limits, the organism is on a neverending quest for power.
