Ulaver Wine (Oo-lav-err)

Otherwise known as Drow green wine, this curious beverage has quickly become a favourite of Drow society. Brewed by house Ulaver of Menzoberranzan this Dark elven beverage is now brewed not only by Dark elves but deep gnomes and Dwarves as well. It is the primary export of the town of Shroddak in the western fringes of the Underdark and shipped across the world. A typical drow green wine recipe consisted of orbloren, a type of subterranean mushroom, distilled in water and juice of marrult, another species of Underdark fungi. Orbloren mushrooms were boiled in water with added crushed marrult. It was impossible to distill orbloren without the use of marrult as it produced the the richest and most valuable drow green wine. The more marrult was added the more flavor the final product had. Despite being banned in multiple provinces it is still fairly popular with nobles that can afford it, and more so with exotic traders.
