New members of The Children of Atom are encouraged to bathe in the glowing water to ritualize their commitment to Atom. Children celebrate their coming of age by bathing in the Glowing Holy Water as well. Peculiar, the Glowing Holy Water has a very rare property. It strips the body of illness and disease. Although the process of purging oneself of illness is horribly painful, individuals will be gifted with the ability to naturally resist radiation.

The Glowing Holy Water is collected in a water fountain left behind from the old world. This fountain is heavily guarded. Regardless if wastelanders refuse to believe in the glory of Atom, the Glowing Holy Water's extraordinary abilities make it a valuable resource in the wastelands.

Discovery

When Holy Name Cathedral was found by The Children of Atom, containers of holy water were found. High Confessor Eve - the first High Confessor in the Great Lakes Wastelands - found that the holy water was glowing. Visions came to High Confessor Eve, and she knew that she needed to bathe in the holy water to find its true purpose. Water that enters the Atom's Holy Cathedral transforms into the Glowing Holy Water after a matter of minutes. An infinite supply of Atom's gift.
