House Southford
House Southford is a family of minor nobility that exists in a state of vassaldom to the larger House Trevelyan to the north.
The current leader of the family is Baron Ceorlic Southford, who as of 1495 DR has held the seat of Baron for over 30 years, having taken control of the seat after the passing of his father, Herugrim, in 1462 DR.
House Southford's history is intertwined with that of their liege, House Trevelyan, having been founded by a common soldier in their service after the man saved the lord's life and was rewarded with both knighthood and the barony, which at the time solely consisted of the fledgling Southford township more a hamlet than town. The house's founder took the name of the town as his own, and settled in Southford, where House Southford's estate still stands to this day.
