The Hunters Cove

The city of hunters, a city of simplistic architecture, of wooden huts and foot paths. Most would say it was a backwards place, a place where only savages lived, but this is not the case. For there is richness here that rivals that of many other cities. The people are hard working and intelligent, going about their day constructing spears, or going out hunting. There is constant movement, whether through talvarian caravans passing by to purchase a pet or other such thing, or through local caravans headed north to sell their stock. It is a city of life and movement, but also one of harshness and brutality, for its simple style is a powerful reminder of the dangerous environment the people find themselves in.

Demographics

There is only one true type of person within the city, and that is of tribes man. There are no rich folk within the city, those that become that move out to a different place, for Hunter Home is not a place for the rich. If the city is diverse or not depends what time it is, for people are constantly moving in and out of it, especially tribes and clans. At its highest diverse, it may be 70% draken, 25% firbolg, and 3% elf, while the final 2% can be some miscellaneous races.

Government

While the government does not have much to do with the daily lives of the people, the one that is there is the leader herself, Megrend, who helps solve issues with the city, or she tasks one of the under hunters to do her work for her if it becomes too much.

Defences

The city has very simple physical defenses. it has four meter high palisades that have wooden towers constructed close to them. Its defenses however come from its incredibly guards, who are alert and perceptive, and are powerful and deadly. On top of this, when it knows danger comes, the city is able to create a large variety of traps to defend themselves.

Industry & Trade

The only industry within the Cove is that of a small mining operation into the mountain, but that is small and insignificant for a large city, thus the primary activity within it is from its trading. The locals commonly trade things for each other, rather than pay with coins, though it is not uncommon. While merchants and other visitors arrive to pay with coin, and receive exotic animals, dead or alive.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure is not a word that those in the Cove know of, for their streets are footpaths, they do their business deep in the jungle, and the only real courtyard is one on the edge of the city by the main road where people can sell and trade.

Guilds and Factions

There are a multitude of factions within the city, all of them being the different tribes or clans that live within it. Most of the time, they live at peace with each other, but it is not uncommon for some form of slight between two to begin growing in its severity very quickly, until a rude remark turns into murder.
