Traveler's Shiitake
This page contains a couple of drawings and a recipe. The drawings depict a couple of travelers near a campfire enjoying a meal along with a detailed representation of the mushroom itself.
Recipe 1. Traveler's Shiitake (enough to share)
2. Meat/Beans of your choice
3. Season to taste
I used some Spirit Salt, Pepper, Spais, garlic, and a bit of chili from my pack.
4. Add any veggies
I used onion, carrots, and potato
5. Let it cook awhile, don't remove the lid!
It's important to share in conversation with anyone you're traveling with.
6. After it's ready, you can chow on the stew!
While eating you should see more mushrooms growing from the ground, primarily more Traveler's Shiitake, as they form a gate.
7. You can walk through "The Mushroom Gate" when it opens!
Supplemental: I later learned its true name is The Rotting Gate.
