The Statue at Thera Relovut

The Statue at Thera Relovut is a mysterious artifact of unknown origin, age, or purpose. As the name suggests, it is located in Thera Relovut, at its center, and is guarded heavily by Ilven, her Court, and the Myotlings that live there.
Description
A statue of a small-statured humanoid being, probably about 4-5 feet tall, he…or possibly she is sitting and meditating. They’re without discernible features for either gender, or encompass all of them somehow. It’s unclear, and kinda irrelevant, but they’re meditating. The statue is situated on a disk with 10 lines of different lengths reaching out and touching 10 different symbols. Their eyes are closed and they’re facing away from an open book.   The lines and symbols on the statue are similar to a drawing found at the back of The Field Guide. Each symbol appears to correspond to a different "gate".   The book has writing carved into the pages.   “When Spirits in still waking bodies, crawling into the land where only the fae and fallen tread, the light that is craved by all will be shrouded by a sky that hangs heavy upon the soul. And when we reach for the horizon, hoping to embrace the new dawn, it will instead pour on us a dark day which is bleaker than any night.”

Defenses

This Statue is one of the most guarded secrets of Ilven's, not because of any danger to her, but because of a potential danger to other forest creatures. When not the topic of conversation -or being actively investigated or looked at- this statue is capable of being removed from memory until some triggering phrase -or another reminder- brings it back into focus.   In addition to this memory altering ability, the statue is capable of bringing great harm to any who read the inscription in the book. This harm could be mental strain, physical damage, blindness, deafness, silence, exhaustion, or worse depending on the fortitude (and luck) of whoever is reading it.

History

Not much is known about the Statue's history beyond that one of Ilven's scouts discovered it about 50 years, just before Tympi disappeared. The inscription in the book, along with Simol's interpretation of the message, was a contributing factor in Ilven's later actions.   Since being discovered, and learning of the statue's power to bring harm to any who read the inscription, Ilven has kept a close guard over the statue.   The Spiritual Travelers encountered this statue on Nurend 15, 308 after speaking with Ilven in Thera Relovut. It caused any of them that read the writing in the book to go blind, some of them were paralyzed, and Frode was unaffected thanks to his lack of ability to really read that well.
On Daulok 02, 308, the Spiritual Travelers defended Namina as she communed with Ilven to help separate her from The Unblinking Sein. The center of Thera Relovut had split open into a massive chasm, the Statue was nowhere to be seen.
