The Sleeping Oak
The Sleeping Oak is an incredibly large oak tree and phenomenon located within Tympi's Forest.
Not much is known about it by the Spiritual Travelers at this point, besides what was provided by Croak during their first meeting.
Croak informed the Spiritual Travelers about this tree while issuing warnings as requested by Kaswink. It was described as an incredibly massive oak tree surrounded by sleeping creatures, plants, spirits and the like. The Oak itself is apparently sleeping as well and has the occassional patch of dead ferns growing along its trunk and boughs. It was advised that the party avoid this oak as when it awakens so too do the surrounding wildlife and spirits. The Oak also supposedly is capable of defending itself suggesting it may be some sort of ancient tree spirit or perhaps a some variety of treefolk.
It was suggested that, should you need to harvest something from it or nearby, to do so quietly as to not awaken it. Perhaps some form of spiritual protection would also be required.
According to the dossier on Spalsis which was found inside the Weresnail Satchel, the creatures, spirits and plants that fall asleep in the surrounding area can grow to immense size if they stay there too long.
