Nine of Cups

The Nine of Cups is a spiritual flower and a member of the Cups family.   It was originally discovered by Agave while he was out exploring during the downtime between Nurend 19th and 30th, 308. It was found floating on the small lake in Meli's Garden.   Each species of Cups manifests as either "Upright" or "Reversed". Agave documented the reversed version of this flower which seemed to invoke feelings of inner happiness, materialism, dissatisfaction, and indulgence.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The Nine of Cups is a teal and sky blue lotus with nine petals.   The Reversed varient, discovered by Agave between Nurend 19-30th, was still attached to its stem while it floated in the lake.

Ecology and Habitats

Like other lotuses, the Nine of Cups prefers large bodies of fresh water such as Lakes, water gardens, ponds and so forth. However, lotuses can also be grown outside of these environments as long as there is enough water being provided daily.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Nine of Cups, like all Cups, feeds on emotions that are subconsciously drawn to the surface by it.   In particular, the Reversed variant encourages feelings of inner happiness, materialism, dissatisfaction, and indulgence.

Additional Information

Uses, Products & Exploitation

The Nine of Cups, unlike other flowers from the Cups family, cannot be harvested or processed while also maintaining its spiritual and emotional properties. The feelings that are invoked by this particular plant are gained by staring into the body of water or environment where the flower happens to also be. Because of this, those that wish to keep this feeling around or exploit it through other means, must grow and care for a living Nine of Cups in a suitable environment.
