Stilled Future

The Shenta-Har-Ek have a powerful ritual call the "Stilled Future" when-in they ingest an unknown concoction believed to contain (among other things) the roots of the shuloma plant. The ritual takes place inside dark pitchable huts which are always carried by the Shenta-Har-Ek when they travel. The process breaks down as follows: 1) A timeline is determined, the future is a fickle entity and can only be known within degrees of certainty. The greater the certainty, the closer the future and less detail is seen. 2) Blood or other circulatory fluid is collected from the one who wants their future known. 3) The Shenta-Har-Ek consumes the shuloma root. 4) The blood is boiled in a clay pot until the pot cracks or/and the blood burns. 5) The future seeker must drink the remaining blood. 6) Both parties meditate, sometimes for minutes, sometimes for hours. 7) When least expected a disjointed vision comes to them, the Shenta must make sense out of the information packets to distill the future within. Of note, the Stilled Future is the only ritual that the Shenta have allowed scientific scrutiny over. Studies have showed high reliability for specific short term predictions i.e. "you will be in an accident in five days" , "you will secure the election", "you will fight a battle on the 28th".
