Raven Hill

Geography

Raven Hill is a fairly solitary hill within the smallish forest at the north eastern portion of The Corner. It is north of the river Brackish, but not quite into the foothills of The Shifting Moutains. It is not fully within the woods, and one of the furthest south foothills of that mountain range, kind of in between the two really. It overlooks the river Brackish directly to the south, and is perhaps 5 miles upstream from the town Brackish. In a straight line The Sea of Wrath is perhaps 3 or so miles due east, however the cliffs have nearly begun there, so it is far easier to get to town by simply following the river, and the old road that runs along its southern bank.

Fauna & Flora

Deciduous trees and brush are the most common, and the common woodland creatures can be seen around. However, as this place is located quite near where 4 different Reflections meet, strange creatures that do not fit this mold are not uncommon, especially ones coming down out of The Shifting Moutains. The most unique denizens of this hilltop are The Ravens and their tree, however they will be detailed elsewhere.

Natural Resources

The hill is an ideal place. It is quite close to the river Brackish, which belies its name this far upstream and is quite clear. The forest around, with plenty of timber, however there are several fields for farming on the hill and right nearby (some of which were cleared after much painstaking work). Fish can be found in the river, and game in the woods.

History

Raven Hill itself is a bit of an anomaly, as compared to the surrounding region.  It exists on the beginning of the fuzzy border between reflections that exists in The Corner, but has certain characteristics of being its own mini-reflection.
