Ramira the Freethinker
the Freethinker Ramira
Ramira was a Yersi philosopher and theologian who arose in the late seventh century. Her magnus opus was Guide to Religious Freedoms, by Ramira, which was the first public document of the emerging out of the Freeders organization and which soon became their core text.
Not much of Ramira's early life prior to publication. Most Yersi believe that Ramira was a magictech enchanter who grew disillusioned with the constraints of religious law in Yersia regarding magic. Most accept that Ramira joined the Freeders in her late thirties or early forties.
After publishing her book, Ramira soon after shot to international popularity. In Yersia, she fascinated and convinced the nobility to be more open minded, but elsewhere in Suon and Red Veil she was formally declared a heretic by the Apostles of the Descendants of Batu. Her simple wording and direct prose also earned her a large following within middle class merchants and artisans.
She was poisoned a decade or so after publishing Religious Freedoms with a vial of poisoned ink - Ramira was well known to be clumsy and never left a writing session with clean hands.
Ramira's corpse vanished after it was discovered. Many theories abound as to what happened to it, including the theory that she was a secret lover of the King of Yersia who had her entombed in his own private burial grounds.
