Nefite is the leader of the House of Thasson-Montena and Duchess of Nero. Though young, she has developed a reputation of ruthlessness, cunning and deviousness, while also promoting a public face of piety.

Nefite is tall and slim with dark blonde hair that she keeps bound in a dark veil. She has natural dimples and an almost too easy smile.

Personal history
Nefite was born into a House very much in decline. A former independent royal house, Nefite's House had vassals but no real way of extracting monies from them. Their rivals in the south, House of Argo, were getting rich from their trade with the Colony of Kehl.
Nefite grew up listening to the frustrated rants of her father that eventually turned into psychotic ones. He accused many vassals of treason and accused them of collusion with him enemies. Despite this, as his only child, Nefitie was the apple of his eye, and it is through this connection she took on his paranoia. With it, she matched a natural intelligence and charm that evolved into becoming a master schemer in her teen years.
By the time Nefite was twenty, she had already ousted several proven traitors and spies from Nero's halls. The destruction of several lesser Houses can be directly traced to Nefite's plans.
The council and nobility began to respect and fear her in equal measure, and the citizens ate up her public devotion to the Brides of Batu. Nefite earned the moniker, "the Shrouded", stemming from both her pious veil and duplicitous nature.
It wasn't long then before the old Duke retired and Nefite assumed her position as Duchess of Nero.
In the first few years as Duchess, Nefite courted the friendship of Capano Saranducci. Through their mutual recognition of each other as rivals, something honest bloomed and formed a genuine friendship. As such, Capano placed a lot of trust in her management of the east of the Red Veil.
It was only the resurgence of The Aviary within Nefite's territory that managed to strain their relationship. Capano ordered Nefite to capture and destroy the organization before they could wreak more havoc on the country.

She is one of the richest women in the realm, but she recovered much of this wealth herself by way of revoking lands and businesses from disloyal vassals. She spends her money frugally but will spend if it suits her purposes.
