Magitech refers to the practical application of enchantment towards everyday technological problems. It was invented by the The College of Enchanters in theKingdom of Yersia, which is where many magitech inventions come from.

It is relatively accessible in Yersia, where middle-class folk may be able to afford limited applications in their homes. Elsewhere it is too expensive and only found in the wealthiest locations.

Discovery

The College of Enchanters invented magitech in 985. For centuries, the College had worked on core problems that now constitute defining features of magitech, such as:

1. Repeated motion. Have an enchantment repeat its function.
2. Non-sentient non-activation. Have an enchantment activate itself without achieving sentience.
3. Safe and versatile energy storage to power the device's repetitions.

In 985 these three problems had finally been solved, and magitech was invented.
