Blood Dreaming

Feed the hunger / See the void ~ The Order of Aasha

Deep in the darkness of the forbidden lands, the Order of Aasha meet to practice the ritual of blood dreaming .

Blood Dreaming

For the witches and sorcerers in Aasha, tasting the blood of the deceased allows them to see and feel the memories in the void. The dreamer is present in the memories, but cannot leave any lasting impact on the past. There are dark legends, however, that tells of a witch so powerful she was able to alter the timeline she was in and kill within the dream. This is, of course, a legend made to scare children but some say that this legend has its basis in truth.

History

Blood magic has always been the foundation of the forbidden lands. Long before the fracturing and when every kingdom was unified in their loyalty, King Aasha Maut brought corruption by partnering with three strange individuals from Lake Shaetan. They claimed that with a drop of blood from the King's deceased son, Prince Kiya Maut, the King would be able to understand who or what killed him. Stricken with grief, the King readily accepted but he was in no way prepared for what he was about to see.   Experiencing the murder of his son first hand, the King was driven to madness and secluded himself as these mysterious sorcerers and witches slowly gained a foothold in his Kingdom. Blood magic swept the land and King Aasha Maut became its first victim.

Participants

The ritual is headed by the Corpse Seers, a powerful group of witches or sorcerers in the Order of Aasha. In the Order of Aasha there are only 5 Seers at a time and the right to being a Seer is past down only through death. When a Seer dies, the new inductee must dream with their blood and learn about the ritual.
