Raener Neverember was the only son of Dagult Neverember, former Open Lord of Waterdeep. He was born in Neverwinter, but soon after he became 16 he relocated to Waterdeep. He and his father haven't spoken in years due to some personal family matters. Not long ago Raener was kidnapped by the Zhentarim Guild along with his friend Floon Blagmaar. They wanted to interrogate them for Dagult's hidden Dragon Cache. When they reached the Zhentarim hideout they were all attacked by the Xanathar Guild. They falsely re-kidnapped Floon thinking he was Raener. Raener was left at the hideout unnoticed but badly injured. He was found by 2 adventures, named Yul and Deresathria.
