Lin Baihu
Hayashi Byakko (or 'Lin Baihu' in his native language) is a pirate from Ruomu. A well known figure in both lands, he has amassed a great fortune from both pillaging towns and cities on both sides of the Turtle Sea, and by acting as an intermediary between the former emperor of Jū-kinai and powerful Ruomon leaders.
Commonly known in Fusō by the local reading of his name, Byakko is intelligent, dauntless, and bold. Despite being a known womanizer, he is in love with Ai.
He takes a keen interest in Totaro due to him resembling his late father. Byakko comes to believe that he will retunite the Ten Provinces and promises to finance his endevours.

Byakko is keen on keeping cats on his ships to deter pests, and is known to feed or taken strays wherever he docks.
