Points of interest
Druidhold, Druid’s Keep, The Archives of Parimon, Mount Parimon, Dawntreader Pass
The mountain fortress of Parimon was first constructed by builders from all the Races to house the First Druid Council, an order of historians, philosophers, magic-users, teachers, and researchers, under the leadership of the Elvin Great Druid Aerilaya Allania. At the summit of Mount Parimon is the Druidshold, the castle that serves as home and central hub for all Druids of the North since the First Council. The Druid's Keep is sometimes referred to as Parimon because it sits within the center of this mountain fortress.   Parimon has been used by the Druids since the age prior to the Druid Council but were overwhelmed by the forces of Tiamatsu and her children during The Godswar. Inaccessible to most, it is described as having a keep and a surrounding wall. Geothermal energy powers and heats the keep. It is riddled with strange secret passages that interconnect the entire fortress without any imperfection or blemish upon its smooth surface that have been used by friend and foe alike for over thirty thousand millennia. The fortress also contains the hidden library that houses the Druid Histories and vaults that stories tell of holding a variety of artifacts including the Sword of Ultimate Sorcery and Yagrax’s Codex. But arguably the keep's most important feature is The Well. It is said to be the font of the Druids potent magical powers and the last defense against invaders created during the waning days of The Godswar.   The Druidic Circles of the North were born out of a determination to keep the knowledge of the Old World safe, they failed, and after nearly being destroyed at the beginning of the Godswar, by its conclusion the druid order was restored under the First Council with a new mandate to gather all knowledge, and keep the Frontier from strife. The Druids of the First Council at Parimon found much of what was forgotten after the dark holocaust, crucial pieces of knowledge of the old sciences that had been lost but without all the pieces crucial to their understanding. The Druids worked with the surviving Netherans and assisted them in founding both Nethelore and Nethlund in the years after their arrival but were unable to fully restore science as they had wished. Nonetheless, many continue to study the lost tomes of science within The Archives of Parimon, convinced one day it will be used again.   The Druidhold has protected the north from enemies since its inception. Though many rumors and tales abound around Parimon and the Druids it is The Dawntreaders, those who actively scout and guard Dawntreader Pass, who is the most famous fighting force which figures into these fables. Credited with everything from trouncing trolls, toppling armies of giants, sending the greatest flight of Dragons seen in history back to their island home, and stopping the northern hordes from pillaging the peaceful settlements directly from the pass, it is difficult to know where fanciful tale and reality mix when it comes to the defenders of Parimon.
