Once a district of vast forests elven kingdoms covered all the lands from The Orctrees to The Grammat. Over the centuries this great forest and those who resided in it began to diminish until it became what it is now; home to small clans of elderly elves and their families who chose to stay by their side, adventurers mostly, remaining behind as their brethren crossed over the sea to Wicaen or made The Great Trek overland emigration to Aaledon. A well-manicured clearing called The Meadow stands near the center of what was once the heart of this vast forest where the Meadow Woods originates its name from. Said to be surrounded by unusually tall and thick trunk elms, relics of ancient elven magic, the glade radiates constant vibrations that are said to ward against evil. Whatever time of year it is always spring here, regardless of the season, and myths tell of the strange healing powers of the woods against diseases both mundane and magical.
It is said the elves feel an incredible, restful aura of peace here, other races can also vaguely sense the clearing's calmness. What is without debate the most interesting tale of The Meadow is that wood brought into the glade are said to come alive instantly sprouting leaves and roots becoming stalwart stewards of the sylvan realm. Other tales say that the seeds of these protectors were used to create the Automata used against the forces of chaos in the last wars of the gods.
