Graniteforge Citadel

Ruler: King Grumult Hammerhorn Economy: Mithril mining, metal refining, weapon, and armorsmithing. Noted for sword blades, forge bars, and pick heads. Militia: 200 dwarves are always on duty. Another 1,500 dwarves can take up weapons on a moment’s notice. A total of 9,000 dwarves can take the field. Points of interest: The Soulforge. The Mithril Mines of Granitforge, Hammerhorn Hall (Throneroom of the King)   Over fourteen thousand dwarves call Graniteforge Citadel their home under the strong leadership of King Grumult Hammerhorn. The Citadel was originally built by his ancestor, the dwarven King Graniteforge Hammerhorn in the years prior to The Godswar. It is said the first Warforged were made using a forge of Hammerhall using Mithril from out of Axforge and the seeds of enlightened trees brought by elves from The Meadow Woods and combined together using the hottest fireforge of the hall; the legendary Soulforge. Only the tip of this fortress shows above ground. The rest, miles and miles of granite corridors once housed over sixty thousand dwarves but wars with the orcneas of Maugulach once nearly wiped them out entirely if it were not for the arrival of a large force of Netherans and their mysterious leader, a debt they continue to honor and repay by trading their goods only with the Netheran descendants in Nethlore. Some of the finest mithril mines in the world can be found in Gundulgrun (the proper name for the underground citadel translated from proper dwarvish to common as Hammerhall). The number of dwarves who dwell here has been dwindling slowly since the Orcwars, as few dwarves are born to replace those who die.
