Coromur

Coromur is a small town east of Bleachbone Pass, hence its name, and is typical of such small communities. Three things set it apart from other similar and often unnoticed communities throughout Ethigoviel. While other communities might have a notable product, a significant nonhuman population, or a famed inhabitant, they rarely have all three like Coromur does. It was from this small town that the territorial agreement between the Valley of the Mountain Men and the major factions was signed ending the near genocide of the race at the hands of the Aphotic Hegemony of Yrdahn at the appropriately named local bar, tavern, and inn; The Bold Goliath’s Hall. It is also likely the first place to hear of any transgressions or grievances between the Mountain Men and the civilized world through the occasional guide, exile or emissary from one of the tribes of gigans in Collossea stop in with their own tales. Coromur’s small size and location make it a meeting spot for dwarven merchants working out of hidden delves in the Aodhán Mountains. Their smiths' work is above the human average and individuals wishing to contact such craftsmen, or to contact dwarven communities, usually start in Coromur. The small town is the home of Rulthaven the sage, whose area of expertise lies in the study of plants and their uses including herbs and poisons. Rulthaven is regularly consulted by both priests and representatives from around the world. Rumoured to be a former Dawntreader of Paramon or a Hierophant Druid of the Council of Paramon who has retired to his hometown where he intends to spend the remainder of his short days left to him. When asked, even Ruthaven scoffs but never gives an answer which of course fuels the rumors even more. Finally, Coromur is the home of at least four noted horse breeders whose ranches and stables do a brisk trade in remounting travelers journeying further into Ethigoviel and those heading further on to the lands of Rhigolia, Yrdahn or Andril. Their prices remain competitive. The largest of these is Pine Hollow Stallion Crest whose destriers and warhorses are known throughout the Western Realms and used by many of the larger armies. The Crest also occasional carries more exotic mounts and if given enough time can usually fulfill orders for other steeds, within reason of course. Equally as well known as The Crest are the Iron Anvil Lane Stables, specializing in draft and warmblood breeds. The Iron Anvil Lane Stables also keep a few thoroughbreds and mastiffs but never anything more exotic or in large numbers. Less known but no less worthy of note are Thunder Mountain Pastures and Zephyr Hills Farm. Both have a solid foundation and variety of mounts, though nothing like the lineage of the larger two, including workhorses, ponies, mules, donkeys, and riding dogs. Most necessary supplies, wagon, cart and saddle repair, and various materials can be purchased at Taiden’s General Store. Wagon repairs are possible but will take time and cost more than the normal amount as the owner himself Elmore Norbert Tiaden and his two young boys Roland Evertt Taiden and Effie Hic Taiden are the only ones to perform such work.
