The rat poet

The rat poet is a famous poet in the falling city, that noone has ever met. It all started when an anonymous book of poems was submitted to the printer in the falling city. Along with it was a single note, written like it was on a typewriter if not for the way the ink had flown out at parts. It gave a short introduction simply saying he was the rat poet, and an address where to send any reply. The starnge circumstance didn't stop them from printing it, after almost everyone agreed the poems were too good to not be publised. While slow at first, the book soon started to gain popularity, even among those not usually reading poetry. The poem book consisted of short poems about the city, often refering how people act like animals, but that it shouldn't be something to not be proud over. This many theorize is why he calls himself the rat poet. Noone has every met him, at least not knowingly. He's remained completely anonimous even after publishing two more books. The address that the publisher sends his share of the profits lays right at the edge of the city, where almost noone has dared ventured. Thos who have, have never seen the man pick it up. Somehow he does however, because the carrier lizards always come back empty handed or with a quick note of thanks, still in the anonimous typewriter font which doesn't reveal a sliver of personality. Many have speculated about who the rat poet is, and what his poems might mean. But no matter the answers to those questions, noone can deny that the simple mystery has everyone crawling like rats to try and solve it...
