Airships

Originally built as vehicles of war, then for transport and now for research, airships have been shaping history for quite some time. Since the ships were fairly easy to spot, they served in the military of various countries mostly as transports for troops and supplies. During peace times, companies figured out that they could also be used to deliver goods from or too otherwise hard to reach areas, making a lot of buisnesess expand in resource production. Mines far out by the mountains, farming in nutricious soil in the middle of large forests, things that would otherwise take days to travell to or from now could be done within a day by just bypassing the difficult paths. Of couse the system wasn't perfect, strong winds or difficult weather could ground the airships for days at a time, but it was still often more profittable than building roads or connecting the railways to the site. There are mainly three classes of airships. The small class is only made as a personell carrier, and is fairly light and quick. This was the most used during military conflicts, since it was quick enough to avoid enemy fire and still come close to enemy lines. The medium ships are more vesitile, but slower and easier to hit. The added space can transport both wares, weapons and personell, and is the most common one used by coorporations in peace time. The military has also used them for transports in safe or allied areas. The large class ships are fairly rare, but can fit almost anything you can think of wanting to transaport. They were used to move big military vehicles, large machines for manufacturng or if a cosiderable amount of people needed relocating. The slow pace and the easy to spot size made the airships unusable near enemy ground.
