Moda-Yur
Moda-Yur is a creature that appears throughout Geron's history in various forms and incarnations. It's also known as Koros, Koromon, Korumen and the Feathered Man. Some people believe Moda-Yur is also the Hidden God and the apostate God-Emperor Nikan, as well as the Akasharian god Dirga-Badur. If that's the case, Moda-Yur is one of the Elder Gods, ancient and powerful gods whose existence is not contingent on the belief of Geron's inhabitants because he is part of the Great Dreamer.
If this is true, Moda-Yur is the only Elder God who bothers with taking on a human identity, having existed at least several centuries as the epynomous king and later emperor of Carcosa. Many have even claimed to have encountered Moda-Yur in distant places at the same time, with accounts of the Traveller of Mogeid appearing in Mogeid and the same time as Moda-Yur is said to have been in Bertar leading sermons to the Great Dreamer beneath the ominous Bertarian Lights. Moda-Yur may appear as a man or a woman, as dark or fair skinned, in the garb and adopting the language and culture of whatever form he chooses. Generally when referred to as 'he', historians are referring to Moda-Yur of Carcosa. In any form, the creature always wears a distinct yellow robe with red and black adornments, and often with an unusual facial injury, mask, or some form of obvious disfigurement. Moda-Yur was locked in the Black Prison by the Erd of Ythill during the Cassildan Betrayal Interregnum, though its believed that many still dedicated to him still live in the floating cities of the Shatterlands.
