Messenger sends a message a sentence or two long to a specified target. For each hundred miles the message must travel, Messenger costs 1 point. The message takes 2.5 days per hundred miles and arrives by bird on a tiny scroll.

Lesser Messenger

Half the cost of Messenger. Messenger sends a message a sentence or two long to a specified target. For each hundred miles the message must travel, Messenger costs 1 point. The message takes 2.5 days per hundred miles and arrives in the form of an omen or portent, such as an auspicious animal or rare event. If the caster and the target have discussed the need for such a signal in advance, the target will be able to discern a single word from it.

If the target hasn't been briefed before receiving the message, the target will know someone or something is trying to communicate with it but not know for certainty what the message is.

Greater Messenger

Twice the cost of Messenger. The message arrives instantly in the form of a memory which includes words, visions and sounds. It's clear who sent the message unless the messenger is deliberately attempting to disguise themselves.
