Viceroy of the Eylands
To solve the twenty-eight-year succession crisis the Prince of Trondalen created the title Viceroy of the Eylands, which all of the same responsibilities and privileges. This title did not require a majority of the Eylandian nobility to be present at Coronation Hall, because it was officially lower than that of a king. De facto the viceroy was a king who could be appointed personally by the Prince of Trondalen. No surprise then that the current prince appointed his son, Rodmar, Ealdorman of Fyresdal, as the first Viceroy. The Viceroy was merely a puppet of the Prince of Trondalen.
