She was a childhood friend of King Astor, when he was still an Ealdorman living incognito with the Prince of Lowenthal. Though it was forbidden the two fell in love. They would go on secret dates in the hayloft of Lowenthal Castle. There, he promised that when he no longer had to live in hiding he would marry her.
