Naming Traditions
Given the dangerous life Ysoki live, their names are short to a point so they are quick and easy to say. These names include Dir, Bik, Alf, and Rey.
History
Ysoki were literally lab rats for Rain. Running through mazes, solving complex puzzles, unlike her gnomes they were never expected to develop souls. But develop they did. Despite this their lives remained horrific, Rain relied on their rapid breeding to keep populations high and continued to use them for her experiments.
Eventually the Cataclysm came and the ysoki were all but wiped out. The few that survived were workers in a laboratory studying one of Diavalo's creations, a mimic. These few survivors climbed onto the mimics back when it grew too large for its containment and became the first people to dwell on the Wandering Mountain.
