The Last Sword

The Last Sword is an icon used by many adventurers to tell that they are about to cross over from the Everwild, and into the frozen lands of Chylthist.
This gargantuan blade sticks, point down, into the top of a mountain on the edge between the Wilds and Chylthist, seemingly dropped there by some ancient power millennia ago.
The blade despite appearing in records as early as the accounts of Morticia von Kemmler, does not seem to have any substantial wear and tear upon it, although it does show signs of being buffeted by the icy winds of the north.
While the blade is clearly visible from the mountain pass leading from New Atradia into the frozen wastes, no-one has yet managed to climb the steep arctic mountains to be able to reach its resting place.
Other such colossal swords have been found throughout the Wuld, however most of those have been melted down for use in modern technology, earning this one the name of ‘Last.’
The Chylthist seem to hold this sword as an official marker showing the edge of their territory and will not pass by it unless they desire to enter the Wilds.
