Iron Samurai

An order of noble knights who work to protect and serve all those who live within their borders. They are strict, honorable, and kind.
It is difficult to join the Samurai. Many people go to their initiation ceremony only to leave confused. Those not chosen during the ceremony describe being lined up before a gauntlet on a pedestal and asked to step forward and touch the gauntlet. Some are chosen while others are sent home after the ceremony, and no-one knows why. . .

Structure

The Samurai are lead by a counsel of elders who oversee the military movements of the samurai and ensure the peace of the areas they control. The current head of the Samurai counsel is a Goliath named Hades.

Public Agenda

The Iron Samurai live for the protection of all the free people of their kingdoms. They don't control the direct goings and doings of their people, just enforce order and secure the borders. The people are usually happy and at peace.

History

The Samurai were founded shortly after the Cataclysm by remnants of a mercenary organization who suddenly found they were needed for more than just war, but to help maintain peace and protect the people of the lands from the horrors the Cataclysm created.

Demography and Population

The lands controlled by the Iron Samurai are most prominently populated by a mix of dwarves, gnomes, halflings, and goliaths.
