Fairmaine Family
One of the noble families of Denmoore the Fairmaine family is a notable family for various reasons. Their family name is considered Blood of the Old Kingdoms however the name has been ostracised due to the mixing of the Sundinian line.
The family is headed by the loud and brash Jango Fairmaine, who is a distant relative to a royal family on the continent of Sundinia.
History
The Fairmaine family takes it's family name when Jango's grandmother moved from the continent of Sundinia. She was betrothed to the Lord of Honeywell, whom she married and had children with. Her eldest daughter was married to another Sundinan man of her mother's choosing.
Though there are Sundinian people's in Enther, none of them have taken seat of power like the Fairmaines. The blending of the Sudinian culture with the customs of Enther led to much prejudice and resentment towards the family especially from the other branches of the family. However when the Fairmaines begun to open up trading between Sundinia and Enther their stations elevated and public opinion begun to change.
As trade and profits increased, the other branches of the Fairmaine family begun to reap the benefits and warmed to the "outsiders". After some generational cooperation, Jango and his cousins are close partners in trade, managing the spices and exotic foods coming over from Sundinia.
More recently, Jango Fairmaine traded with his cousin on the Isle of Samal, Dagbon Viti, for exotic weapons which have proved popular with many of the nobles of Montheus.
