Dagbon Viti is the self installed Oba of the Isle of Samal, a renowned merchant and the head of a mercenary naval force.

In his youth, Dagbon was a muscular man. He was a capable fighter and a skilled sailor.
Now a days, the Oba of Samal has become obese. His overindulgent lifestyle.

Personal history
Dagbon's father, Omari Viti, was a courtier of an Oba sent on a special quest to loot other cities of Sundinia. One day, he sailed closely to an Iphite ship with intent to loot it, only to find out too late that it was a warship. He was taken by surprise, his ship was destroyed, and Omari died along with it. Dagbon was devastated. Dagborn had grown up full of pride over his father who was a great sailor, but the loss of his father caused Dagbon to become a notorious raider. He decided that if that was what happened to sailors that swear allegiance to other men, he would forsake it and become his own man.
Throughout the next ten years, Dagbon would increase his renown as well as his forces. Soon he commanded a small fleet. Dagbon would indulge on his victories and conquests and his body changed. Eventually, he became so large that he was bound to his cabin. Subsequently Dagbon decided he needed to find somewhere as his home. It is there he set his eyes on the Isle of Samal, the Jade Isle. The small island was fruitful and largely untouched due to the treacherous waters surrounding it. Dagbon launched an invasion upon the Isle and once he conquered he dubbed himself an Oba.
From his new home, Dagbon would continue to send his fleets raiding, as well as offering their services for hire. This proved fruitful over time, with his fleet being hired by many of the waring Oba's of Sundinia.
