Personal history

Granddaughter of the infamous Jorgmungand, Giselle Moreau grew up feared and disrespected for her cursed bloodline. Having nothing but love and pride for House Moreau, Giselle and her siblings dedicated their entire beings to restoring the good name of their family. Giselle, or Medusa as her family and loved ones knew her, found the fame and adoration of a lifetime when she was recruited to join the Queen's Watch, the elite special task force of Symphia, under the control of Queen Aines. In return for her service, Medusa promised the restoration of House Moreau's good name in the eyes of the Crown and the people. Willing to do anything for her family, Medusa led mission after mission, from taking out a corrupted dryad queen to hunting down pirates in the Rathe Isles, until she finally was rewarded. Reestablished as the rulers of Goa, House Moreau once more stood hand and hand with the great houses of Symphia, but not all took this news in stride. Obadiah, of House Grimridge, who grew in power while House Moreau was banished, was not pleased that the formerly disgraced basilisk stood at greater standing than his family. Together with other minor nobles, he schemed to put an end to the Moreau bloodline.   Medusa, was the first to discover her parents lifeless bodies in the throne room, poisoned cup still in hand. In a frenzy, Medusa went to the capital demanding answers from the Queen, but was denied entry. Feeling backed into a corner, Medusa met with Hektor Sibbou, lord of Genova, who had also recently suffered the loss of his son due to the underhanded schemes of petty nobles. Together the two joined forces and declared war on the throne, calling for the beginning of the Mad Queen's War.   As the war waged on, Medusa's sanity began to slip further and further into madness, until she was convinced to partake in a ritual that would unleash a Daemon upon the lands of Symphia. Though the Seven Wonders and the United Symphian Alliance Forces managed to defeat her army, Medusa still managed to summon the great daemon, Vispet. Coming to her senses as the Seven Wonders did their best to hold back the daemon, Medusa sacrificed herself to fell Vispet, putting an end to the Mad Queen's War.   Though many would continue to muddy the Moreau name, Queen Aines held their family in high regard nonetheless, establishing new borders from which the people of Goa could live free of the influence of the nobles of Northern Symphia. The name Medusa who go on to put fear into the hearts of those who feared the basilisk and inspire many to their own ambitions.
