Sitra Achra

Sitra Achra is a very hellish Region of The Dreamscape. It is home to a plethora of monstrosities far worse than what can be found in Ghantasm.
The bridges to Sitra Achra manifest as large, thorny gates sealed by a demonic-looking skeletal lock. Occasionally this Region can actually reach into The Conscious Self directly and use its bridges as the Tunnel of Dreams. This has happened so much that the Region has inspired countless tales of a horrible afterlife as well has several descriptions of a place called Hell.
Sitra Achra is such a frightening Region that just the appearance of its gates alone is enough to frighten people away. People in The Dreamscape avoid it at all costs. They avoid it more than they do the Waking Sands and even harder than they avoid even the patronal demons. Because of this, Sitra Achra is used as a prison. It's rare, but it has happened that someone committed a crime deemed worthy of the everlasting torment of the Region of pure evil.

Habitation

Because Sitra Achra is such a terrifying Region it has only been explored once by the Dream Keeper just after it formed at the end of a reality shift. The surveyors who were sent out to explore it had been too frightened to stay in the Region or to give a detailed report, so the Region is mostly a mystery to those in the rest of The Dreamscape. However, even though it's a hellish place, Sitra Achra surprisingly isn't without its own settlements.
Most of the Settlements throughout Sitra Achra are large, modern cities created by people who entered The Dreamscape in the Region and were unable to find a way out or were too terrified to explore. Each city is mostly isolated from the rest.

Geography

It's geography varies. Parts of it are covered in vast fields of dead and wilting plants like trees and flowers. Other parts of it are vast lava lands.
