The Assembly

The entity known as the Assembly has existed for millenia. A hydrogen based lifeform that was born of the Cauldron itself, the Assembly's physical form is little more than a lavender gas floating through the void. When the first space-farers first encountered the Assembly, it was almost always by accident. Flying into the cloud would cause the central Assembly to awaken with synaptic lightning, processing the disturbance with alarming speed. Soon, the particulates of the hivemind would penetrate the hull of whatever vessel was disturbing it -- no matter how advanced that vessel may be -- and infiltrate the mind of one of the carbon-based life-forms on board.   This would be the Assembly's Agent for the time of its possession. Speaking through the being's native tongue, it would then strike a bargain with the crew. It was not a malicious being by any means. However, the Assembly had a want and need to act upon the galaxy in ways that it was not capable of as a gas-based being. So, it would take an Agent for a time and in return grant that Agent a boon of their choice.   It was soon discovered that Agents, as soon as the Assembly had left them, were in possession of new psionic powers and intelligence that they had not possessed before. As a gas, the Assembly had seen the rise and fall of nearly all beings in the galaxy and as such had information both old and new that could be bargained with. Currently, Assembly Agents are sought after for espionage and information brokerage.
Physical Description
  Agents can be any carbon-based lifeforms. They retain their personality, but have access to the Assembly's hive mind. They may, at any moment, be taken over by direct control of the central mind, however this is rare.
Assembly Agent Focus
  Innate Ability The Assembly Agent has access to the Assembly Hive Mind. This allows them to access information that they may not otherwise know.   Psychic Aptitude These aliens are all psychically gifted. The PC must either be a Psychic or take the Partial Psychic class option from the Adventurer class. Their maximum Effort score is increased by one point
Assembly Language
  The Assembly has no native language. It speaks in the natural tongue of its Agent.
