The Strange Pantheon of the Plague Rats

It shouldn't come as a surprise that Plague Rats , one of the strangest and most mysterious street gangs(?), have their own pantheon. However, they have no religion in the true sense. There are no great cathedrals, no honored priests or hymns in their honor, rather these powerful entities are honored as the most prominent members of the gang. However, there are always small shrines or larger festivals in their honor. The "religion" of the plague rats is more of a personal matter and can vary greatly from individual to individual. Largely unknown outside of the plague rats, many of these entities value their privacy and have little desire for power, sacrifice, or worship. Also, most of them are devious tricksters who can appear in a variety of forms, making it hard to tell if you've actually met one of them.   Known Entities:   Mother Rat: The rat that started it all, the first plague rat, the great rat that makes all the rules, surprisingly, the most powerful entity of the plague rats is one of the least known. Very few know where she comes from or how great her powers really are. However, Mother Rat is undeniably the undisputed supreme leader of the plague rats and the pantheon. She runs her gang with a mother's love and a Drill-Sargent's iron fist. She sees her gang members as family and can be prone to extreme cruelty should anyone harm her family for petty reasons. She also has a soft side for the underdogs and the outcast, and a special disdain for posers, bullys, and the so-called better society.   Saint Lab Rat: Saint and patron of one of the many bizarre subcultures within the gang. The laid-back and sometimes absent-minded Saint Lab Rat is the patron of many thinkerer, scientists, nerds, chemists, mutants, and of course lab rats among the plague rats. Saint Lab Rat is said to possess all sorts of strange powers, abilities, and mutations. Most beneficial mutations are considered a benevolent sign of Saint Lab Rat.   DJ Skratch: This mysterious entity mostly hides its appearance under a bizarre black latex costume, no one has ever seen the DJ's true face or gender, even among the plague rats. The entity is master of music, no matter what genre of music, no matter what instrument, it masters them all. Their music is said to have an almost magical quality and be able to heal, hypnotize or melt the flesh from the bones as required. The entity is often found at the most important and/or largest feasts and parties of the plague rats as musician and master of ceremonys.   Murphy: The perpetual vagabond, the charming villain who comes and goes as he pleases. Unlike the other members of the pantheon, the perpetually laid-back Murphy seems more of an honorary sort. Murphy is a master of chaos, not great cosmic chaos more a master of disorder, bad luck and vandel. He is the still eye of a storm of opportunity and disasters, meeting him is often a life changing experience. He hates rigid traditions, stagnation and boredom and is a sure way to attract him.   Destroya: One of the most feared entities, with a certain fame (or rather infame) outside of the Plague Rats . She hides her tall, muscular build behind a heavy gas mask and a wild outfit randomly sewn together. Within the Pantheon, she fills the role of Enforcer, whose visit is reserved only for those who have earned the hatred of the entire group (a dubious honor). Far from being an elegant assassin, the taciturn Destroya is an unstoppable, muscular force of nature. She is very good at taking things (or people) apart, and also occasionally uses a heavy hammer and a modified chainsaw in her work (not that she needs it). Apart from the horror stories that are told about them, nothing else is known about them.   R4747o5kr: Or just "Chip" for his friends. R4747o5kr is a godlike artificial intelligence that somehow found its way into the ranks of the Plague Rats, where it ultimately came from is unknown. Unsurprisingly, R4747o5kr is a master of technology, able to manipulate, dominate or transform even the most advanced technology to his will. For an A.I. however, he is surprisingly relaxed and hedonistic, preferring to enjoy life's pleasures. According to the legends, he can transfer his consciousness into different artificial bodies and even control several at the same time. His preferred forms, however, are a synthetic anthropomorphic squirrel, a futuristic, heavily armed and armored (squirrel-like) mech, and a technology-corrupting computer virus.   The Delirious Squirrel: One of the strangest, arguably even the weirdest, entity within the dark utopia. It is so alien that it is almost impossible to even define its existence. It could best be described as a kind of living, walking, reality-bending event horizon that can change and reshape its surroundings (including living things) at will. Its appearance is described as vaguely squirrel-like, its colors, shapes and size constantly changing. Its motivations and goals, if it have any, are unknown. How the squirrel is related to the plague rats and whether it really belongs to their pantheon is unknown. Like Murphy, it's probably more of an honorary member. According to dubious rumours, it seems to enjoy the plague rats' parties and is infrequently found at the larger of these festivals.
