Sevigny
Sevigny is one of the many Duchies in the Kingdom of Veraine and its province Bahron . They have been prosperous under the leadership of Roland De Sevigny. Under his successor, they were not.
After general mismanagement of the settlemt, The house of Sevigny was stripped of its land and titles. As such, the town came under leadership of the crown, who passed it on to one of the mercantile houses, House Buckbride in order to have the debts recovered.
Sevigny currently languishes under the cruel management of this noble family who tries to extract every bit of wealth from the town they can.
Sevigny used to manage the extraction of hardwood, as so many other towns in Bahron . Their militia were famous woodsmen as well. As the town came under new management, new extraction quota were installed. As such, the lands are barren and the villagers have to go further every day to meet the quotas.
As the value of the settlement lessened, a new deal has been negotiated. Whomever can hunt down the band of outlaws known as The Weres , gets granted the settlement of Sevigny. Along with its debts, however. As such, only noble houses have attempted to undertake this quest.
