End of The Green-Eyed Band
ORIGIN STUFF: Adaki helps Gadianton to escape from the Vaults of the Wizards. Or meets him just as he is escaping himself. He and Adaki decide to wreak some havoc on the Drache estate as revenge against their late father. They start looking around for some extra help with this endeavor, (Adaki purposefully avoiding notifying Neil of anything). They meet Caledon (Cal), and his girlfriend Alicia, who are not inately magical but have taught themselves several spells, runes, and potion recipes. Cal introduces them to a few more young trouble-makers, and they form a band and go basically ransack the Drache estate, making off with all the Drachenlopers yearlings in the process. Afterwards they decide it was a lot of fun, so they decided to form a group - The Green-Eyed Band. (Obviously not all of them were of Pixie heritage, but enough of them were to come up with a name based around the eyes. Soon, they adopted masks that had enchanted, glowing green thread embroidered around the eyes.)
The Green-Eyed Band worked through most of the south-east region of the Windthrown prairie, robbing wealthy lords and ladies and often stealing livestock. As time went on, they slowly made their way North, since they had great success selling their stolen goods (especially the livestock and horses) to fences on the Yalatian border. During this time, everyone in the band had large bounties on their heads, with Gadianton and his brother leading the pack. Neil was getting frustrated that Adaki would not listen to him and stop running from the law. He found and arrested Gadianton while Gadianton was on his own (going to see Rachel, of course). Took him to prison, but more importantly, gave him a bit of a wake-up call. No one was more surprised than him when Gadianton actually took it.
After he escaped prison (of course), with Adaki's begruding assistance, Gadianton faked his own death, and eloped with Rachel. This was the beginning of the end for the Green-Eyed Band.
In Gadianton's absence, Cal stepped up as the new leader of the Band. Some thought Adaki should have, but he had no interest in it.
At first, things went all right, but as the Band began running low on funds, Cal began coming up with more and more risky (and ineffective) heist plans. People started getting killed. Meanwhile, Adaki, Jaden, and Olea became almost estranged from the rest of the group. They did not like Cal's more brutal approach, or his intense focus on money. And Adaki was torn, between his loyalty to what had become his family, and his newfound love for Olea and desire to give her a better life.
Eventually, the inevitable happened. Someone from the Band-- we'll never know who-- betrayed them to a bounty hunter named Varick Yaeger. He not only showed up with over a hundred men, but apparently the Vault Wizards also had interest in the Band, because a man with mystic abilities and a ferocious Vault Hound also accompanied him. Here are some specific things that I want to have happened during this catastrophic raid of the Green-Eyed Band:

- Everyone in the Band except Adaki is killed, one way or another. Specifically: Adaki kills Cal, because Cal has gone crazy and is not letting people retreat even though they are most certainly going to die. And Varick kills Jaden, with his own bow, which is a major insult for a Pixie archer. Also Varick keeps the bow.
- Adaki is interrogated by Varick and his associate to try and learn where Gadianton is. He refuses to give any indication that his brother is still alive. He is resistant to the Wizard's magic.
- Olea is then tortured and eventually, with some mind-magic from the Wizard, she reveals to them not only that Gadianton is alive, but where he is hiding.
- Olea and Adaki manage to escape. Olea dies soon afterwards. *Adaki, on his way to track down Varick and kill him and everyone else involved, is captured by some other non-realted Lodgers who plan to give him to Varick to earn his approval.
