Andervane University

Founded in 1955, Andervane University is a renowned institution located in the Orsen Hills District of Tarbach. most of the university's departments are well-regarded, but its education in the arts is often eclipsed by other institutions. Andervane University's historical and technological departments are its strongest, but in recent years, its programs regarding the study of magic and magical artefacts have gained more traction as a result of the university's recent high-profile discoveries and breakthroughs in those fields. Notably, a team at the University was responsible for the invention of the Contragravity Engine (Contragravity).

Public Agenda

Andervane University is regarded as an elite higher-learning institution. The university does offer financial aid such as grants and scholarships to those who can pass their rigorous application process (and meet academic qualifications). Like many institutions of its age and reputation, Andervane University is not immune to the problem of admitting students who do not regularly pass muster due to their family connections or donations. Nevertheless, the university has a reputation for being one of the most prominent centres of learning in Boesia, and they often fund expeditions to recover ancient-era artefacts or explore lost ancient structures throughout the Emberleaf Republic. An adventurer may find themselves in the employ of the university for such expeditions, which dependent on the circumstances may become very dangerous.

The University's property--which includes the campus in Tarbach, several apartments around the city that are rented out to members of some graduate programs, research vessels, federal grants, and discretionary funds totals in the billions.

Architecture

Andervane University, while having been established in the 1950s, as been updated and reconstructed a number of times. The current Andervane campus has a notably rare architectural style known as "green architecture" pictured in this article is concept art for a portion of the campus which finished its renovations in 2410.
