Drow

Subterranean cousins of the elves, the drow or dark elves have lived miles beneath The Continent's surface for thousands of years. Since The Misplacing, drow communities beneath Southport and Caraid have expanded considerably, although Cambrai remains the cultural center of drow life in The Stillhere.
The drow are known for their martial prowess, magical abilities, and cultish devotion to The Queen of Spiders. When compared to the elves of the surface, drow culture is more inclined towards subterfuge, secrecy, and decisive action.
Politically, drow are united by the fealty to great Drow Houses, each headquarted in a powerful drow city below ground. Drow society is typically matriarchal and privileges divine and clerical practices over more arcane pursuits.
