Lacom

Lacom was the first communication system ever made by which two devices connected to it, could communicate with one another being in different planetary systems.

Discovery

It was absolutely intentional, as both planets, Almoir and Azimo had already stablished communications before, but with a system that allowed only 64 bits at a time and needed huge amounts of energy as the rays had to pass thought the Fire Nebula, composed of particles that interfered with the information.

Inner working

Lacom works as our actual telephone 4G technology, but in a different way, as space is a void that corrupts the information you can pass though it. This system uses infrared light instead of microwaves to transport the information. As emitter, it uses antennas, very big antennas, positioned on each planet. The biggest one was named Lumis, as the name of the only moon of Almoir, as was 305 meters in diameter.

Efficiency and further usage

The system was very advanced at the moment it was developed, but as time started to pass, it became obvious that it had to be replaced with a better and more efficient one. As further diplomatic actions were needed, it was decided to create a better system, and so Perpetua (aka. Longocom) was born.
