The Collapse: NYC

The year is 2027, the United States is on the verge of economic collapse. The greater New York City area is affected by sweeping waves of poverty, this turning the five boroughs into a desolate state of decay, violence, destitution and the locals doing whatever it takes to survive. The NYPD and the Mayor reached to the governor for Federal assistance. This has resulted in the creation of Joint Inter-agency Task Force - Empire (JIATF - Empire), a collection of federal and local agencies, to include: The Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, CIA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, NYPD, NY Port Authority, and limited help from the New Jersey State Police.   Rumors have spurred that some members of the Task Force are private contractors from various private military companies based in the United States including, but not limited to: Dynacorp, Triple Canopy, and Academi (Formally known as Blackwater LLC)   The Task Force's mission is to restore order to the failing city, by eliminating targets causing unrest, securing key infrastructure and terrain, along with conducting non-combatant evacuation operations (NEO).   Gangs and other organizations not conducive to the success of JIATF - Empire are at work within the area, they prevent a larger threat than they seem.   You have been brought on board the task force for one reason or another, whether it be a special skill, or another gun on the ground. Ensure that your objectives are met, or be forced to deal with a population that works against you, and an organization that will not support you.
