The Collapse: NYC

The year is 2027, the United States is on the verge of economic collapse. The great New York City area is affected by sweeping waves of poverty, this turning the five boroughs into a desolate state of poverty, violence, and the citizens doing whatever it takes to survive. The NYPD and the Mayor reached to the governor for Federal assistance. This has resulted in the creation of Joint Interagency Task Force - Empire (JIATF - Empire), a collection of federal and local agencies, to include: The Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, CIA, FBI, Department of Homeland Security, NYPD, NY Port Authority, and limited help from the New Jersey State Police.   Rumors have spurred that some members of the Task Force are private contractors from various private military companies based in the United States including, but not limited to: Dynacorp, Triple Canopy, and Academi (Formally known as Blackwater LLC)
