Sign Language (common)

The great intellect of the scholar and wizard Nymazar is recognized universality across Traith. His love for knowledge and belief that no one should miss out on the opportunity to learn. So invested in this belief that he created an entire language of hand gestures to allow those who could not hear or communicate verbally the ability to do so with others with a basic understanding of the language.   Despite Sign Language being created millennia ago it is still not common enough or widely spread across Traith. A person traveling abroad may be able to find one or two people within each community with who they can communicate with. In many settlements those who know the language offer their services for a fee as a way to make additional income when someone needs a translator.   A few countries and settlements have picked up on the usage of Sign and adapted it to suit their needs. Once modified they then incorporated into their armies or settlements into their law enforcement. This integration is especially focused on units that depend on stealth and subtlety to accomplish their missions.   At several points over the of course it's publication The Weekly Bard has had a section dedicated to the spreading of this underrated for of communication. These stints don't always last long and can change from editor to editor.   There have been variants developed for most of the common races of Traith since Sign was first created
