Ducks

The ducks found on the continnent of Marquest come in different sizes with several variations of markings. There at least twenty nine different sub-species of ducks that can be found across Marquest. Ducks are are very social birds and are usually found in groups of at least five to as many as a full flock. Male ducks reguardless of subspecies are found to be more brightly feathered todraw the attention of predator away from their mates and offspring. Female duck are commonly found in dull shades of browns and tans.

Genetics and Reproduction

The duck of Marquest reproduce the same as most other duck across Traith and the rest of the multiverse. Ducks lay eggs with an average incubation time 25-29 days.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Most ducks have similar dietay need which mainly consist of fish, seeds, lettuce, aquatic plants, insects, grass amoungst other things. Depending on the sub-species of duck some of the larger species of duck have been known to consume smaller waterfowl.
